Photo 1 of 1 Back to Album

From a clinical group who did their appointment in 1992 with Dr. Philip Veerasingham! Who is regarded as one of the greats in the field of surgery, Makes me remember our time under Dr. Lal De Silva and Dr. Liyanarrachchi!!.. What a priviledge! what an experience!!.. what tough appointments with so many moments of sheer joy!! I hope students doing their surgery appointment these days have the same enjoyment as we did!

Buildings and memories

The Pathology Block

The Physiology Block

A window of the Library.
I took these pictures on the 1st July 2011 when I went to the Medical Faculty, Colombo. These were taken around 6.45pm. I do hope that these pictures bring back memories of the early 1960s.

Part of Kumar Sangakkara's Colin Cowdrey speech.

‎"I am Tamil, I'm Sinhalese, I'm Muslim and Burgher. I'm a Buddhist, I'm a Hindu, a follower of Islam and Christianity. But above all, today and always I will be, proudly, Sri Lankan."
