Hotel quotations for the 1960 entrants Batch, get-together on the 13th June 2015.
Lunch and Dinner on the 13th June 2015 will cover the main event. Subsequent arrangements should be done according to individual preference and payment as listed below.
Regarding the charges for the event , I verified from Kapu today.
He made me to understand that
1. The charge of Rs 3500.00 applies to people attending the day event only. This will cover the period from morning ( breakfast excluded) , to lunch and afternoon tea. The day event ends at 6.00 pm.
2.. Evening event starts at 6.00 pm with concert followed by dinner and Sing along with Sam the Man going on till late evening.
This event needs a furthter payment for dinner. The amount of payment is not yet determined. Kapu thinks it may be around Rs1500.00 to 2000.00.
3. For those who stay in the Hotel on payment of the Room charges
none of the above charges apply.

Yes we
are all human being first and then religion comes next.
How many fanatics will understand this?
In an ancient temple, a number of pigeons lived happily on roof top.
When the renovation of the temple began for the annual temple feast the pigeons relocated themselves to a Church nearby.
The existing pigeons in the Church accommodated the new comers very well.
Christmas was nearing and the Church was given a facelift.
All the pigeons had to move out and look for another place.
They were fortunate to find a place in a Mosque nearby.
The pigeons in the Mosque welcomed them happily.
It was Ramadan time and the Mosque was repainted.
All the pigeons now came to the same ancient temple.
One day the pigeons on top found some communal clashes below in a market square. The baby pigeon asked the mother pigeon "Who are these people ".
The mother replied; they are "Human beings".
The baby asked, "but why are they fighting with each other".
The mother said "These human beings going to temple are called 'Hindus' and the people going to Church are called 'Christians' and
the people going to Mosque are called 'Muslims'.
The Baby pigeon asked, "why is it so? Look, when we were in the Temple we were called Pigeons, when we were in the church we were called Pigeons and when we were in the Mosque, we were called Pigeons.
Similarly they should be called just 'Human beings' wherever they go".
The mother Pigeon said, 'You and me and our Pigeon friends have experienced God and that's why we are living here in a highly elevated place peacefully.
These people are yet to experience God.
Hence they are living below us and fighting and killing each other".

Give person gun & he robs bank. Give person a bank & he robs everyone

Robbers entered a bank in a small town.
One of them shouted: "Don't move! The money belongs
to the bank.
Your lives belong to you.”
Immediately all the people in the bank laid on the floor
quietly and without panic.
(This is an example of how the correct wording of a
sentence can make everyone change their view of the world.)
One woman laid on the floor in a provocative manner.
The robber approached her saying, " Ma'am, this is a
robbery not a rape. Please behave accordingly."
(This is an example of how to behave professionally, and
focus on the goal.)
While running from the bank, the youngest robber (who had
a college degree) said to the oldest robber (who had barely finished elementary
school), "Hey, maybe we should count how much we stole."
The older man replied:
"Don’t be stupid. It's a lot of money so let's wait
for the news on TV to find out how much money was taken from the bank."
(This is an example of how life experience is more
important than a degree.)
After the robbery, the manager of the bank said to his
accountant, "Let's call the cops and tell them how much has been
stolen."
“Wait,”, said the accountant, "before we do that,
let's add the $800,000 we took for ourselves a few months ago and just say that
it was stolen as part of today’s robbery."
(This is an example of taking advantage of an
opportunity.)
The following day, it was reported in the news that the bank
was robbed of $3 million.
The robbers then counted the money, but they found only $1
million so they started to grumble.
"We risked our lives for $1 million, while the bank's
management robbed two million dollars without blinking?
Maybe its better to learn how to work the system, instead
of being a simple robber."
(This is an example of how knowledge can be more useful
than power.)

As if presidency has changed hands
Peacefully
And there is an opportunity
To continue the progressive work we have seen , and no
reason that Maithripala, would not or cannot continue, improve on what he was a
part of,
Correct all the errors that so many pointed out, abolish the
exec presidency
Use all intellectual, affluent and all members
To sustain our status
As the most rapidly growin in SE or maybe entire Asia
And develop trade,
Increase opportunities
Create more opportunities, and millionaire and billionaires
( why not)
Let them invest , reinvest, create jobs and opportunities
for others( increase the growth and development we can see clearly, and make it
more uniform and not wasted in political, destructive rhetoric and
wastefulness, divisive action.
We are just Ceylonese with new lankan name, need no division
or divisive identity, but remain as ceylonese or Lankans, include 2 nd 3Rd 4
generation ceylonese living abroad, unaware of
their ability to contribute, enjoy or just be a part of all of us.
We are not bad, maybe downright great people to be
associated with, if they get to understand all of us.
Let's be gracious, grateful, thankful to the old regimes,
and develop more and with unity and gratitude for all opportunities afforded to
all of us, by so many countries and our own people.
That's v easy
It's in our blood
Our culture and it's what we all are( though occasionally we
deviate , but return to baseline, very fast)
