'Crossing the bar' by Alfred Lord Tennyson Sunset and evening star And one clear call for me! And may there be no moaning of the bar, When I put out to sea, But such a tide as moving seems asleep, Too full for sound and foam, When that which drew from out the boundless deep Turns again home. Twilight and evening bell, And after that the dark! And may there be no sadness of farewell, When I embark; For though from out our bourne of Time and Place The flood may bear me far, I hope to see my Pilot face to face When I have crossed the bar. |

Dear All,
I
am so sorry to hear about the passing away of Duru. I'm not sure
whether she was in a fit state to apprehend our thoughts expressed in
the Card that Ranjini had put together at the Reunion. She was closely
involved in organising the previous ones and we missed her very much.
May she attain The Supreme Bliss of Nibbna

Dear Asoka.D
Thank you for your note.
Just a small correction.
The Card you wrote about ,which was signed by our colleagues at the Re Union meeting held on 7th iJuly
was the work of my wife Piyaseeli.
It
was done by my daughter in US and brought down in time for
the Re Union for every one present to put their signatures on o
it.
After the event , the card was hande d over to the carers of Duru at her bedside by Piyaseeli...
Duru was not quite conscious at the time, but opened her eyes once.
This is only to set the records straight.
