scarecrow had to be made king. So he was, managing the country from his castle
runde by a moat. Soon he was advised to choose a bride to regularize lineage.
This
is when agents went in search of a bride.
All
the damsels were pruning themselves up to be selected.
The song is a description of the efforts of the damsels.
