email from JKS Weerasekera

7:25pm and on your way  home alone   after an unusually hard day on the job, tired, upset and frustrated.
Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that  drag out into your arm and up  to your jaw. You are five km away from the hospital nearest your home.
You don't know if you'll be able to make it that far.
Trained in CPR, but the guy  did not tell you how to perform it on yourself.
HOW TO SURVIVE?
The person whose heart is beating improperly begins to feel faint, with only  10 seconds left before losing consciousness.
Lie flat on the ground!

Home is a destination-- the ultimate destination."Going home"has a meaning more poignant than perhaps any other phrase.
It is first spoken with true feeling by a child just turned loose from hi s playpen to explore the wide world of the next-door yards. His first crushing experience with disappointment,or anger,or physical hurt brings a rushing torrent of emotion that ends with a tiny voice piping:"I'm going home."
Home is the sanctuary where the healing is.
Nothing brings as quickly to mind the horror of natural upheaval, civil strife or war as the picture of the "homeless".The deprivation of the security of home is the worst of the mass tragedies.(Walter Cronkite)

Dr. Wetthasinghe our batch-mate settled in New-Zealand.

I met him at a mutual friend - Dr. Kotelawela's house - in Avissawella. He has retired from his practice of Psychiatry in New-Zealand. The same charming smile is there as you can see from the photos above.
