Some humour….   MUM'S BIBLE. Four brothers left home for University, and they became successful doctors and lawyers. One evening, they chatted after having dinner together. They discussed the 95th birthday gifts they were able to give their elderly mother who moved to the Gold Coast . The first said, "You know I had a big house built for Mum." The second said, "And I had a large theatre built in the house." The third said, "And I had my Mercedes dealer deliver an SL600 to her." The fourth said, "You know how Mum loved reading the Bible and you know she can't read anymore because she can't see very well. I met this Minister who told me about a parrot who could recite the entire Bible. It took ten Ministers almost 8 years to teach him. I had to pledge to contribute $50,000 a year for five years to the church, but it was worth it. Mum only has to name the chapter and verse, and the parrot will recite it." The other brothers were impressed. After the celebration Mum sent out her "Thank You" notes. She wrote: Michael , the house you built is so huge that I live in only one room, but I have to clean the whole house. Thanks anyway." "Mervin, I am too old to travel. I stay home; I have my groceries delivered, so I never use the Mercedes. The thought was good. Thanks." "Mark, you gave me an expensive theater with Dolby sound and it can hold 50 people, but all of my friends are dead, I've lost my hearing, and I'm nearly blind. I'll never use it. Thank you for the gesture just the same." "Dearest Mitchell, you were the only son to have the good sense to give a little thought to your gift. The chicken was delicious. Thank you so much." DOG FOR SALE : A guy is driving around the back woods of Dunningand he sees a sign in front of a broken down shanty-style house: 'Talking Dog For Sale 'He rings the bell and the owner appears and tells him the dog is in the backyard. The guy goes into the backyard and sees a nice looking Labrador retriever sitting there. 'You talk?' he asks.  'Yep,' the Lab replies.  After the guy recovers from the shock of hearing a dog talk, he says 'So, what's your story?'  The Lab looks up and says, 'Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was pretty young.. I wanted to help the government, so I told theSAS. In no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders, because no one figured a dog would beeavesdropping.'  'I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years running...  But the jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn't getting any younger so I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job at theairport to do some undercover security, wandering nearsuspicious characters and listening in. I uncovered some incredible dealings and was awarded a batch of medals.' 'I got married, had loads of puppies, and now I'm justretired.'  The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for the dog.  'Ten quid,' the guy says. 'Ten quid? This dog is amazing! Why on earth are you selling him so cheap?'  'Because he's a liar……….. He's never been out of the garden'

The sound barrier - email forwarded by jkksw

An airplane flies producing a huge sound as it flies. The sound mercifully flies faster and leaves the plane.

What happens at the speed of sound? That sound cannot leave the plane site as both travel at the same speed!

In a few seconds a crescendo of sound! And Bam!

So a plane has to rapidly accelerate beyond and dart through quick past that critical speed, before sound builds up to break up levels!

P.S. we may have actually done this if we have cracked a whip. Arthur Clarke says that the crack sound is due to the same effect.

If you who have never personally seen the sound barrier, Take a Good Look * * * Actual photos of the sound barrier  This phenomenon only happens at the instant an Aircraft breaks the sound barrier     And it literally appears like the aircraft goes through a wall.    I hope you find these pictures as fascinating as I did.  WOW!!!
