It took just ten minutes to pick her up, take her to dinner, feed her a terrific meal and then get laid.
Is this guy good or what?

'Kothu Rotti' - email forwarded by gunsie.

When I have been in the Northern & Eastern province that's only couple of times I got the taste of it.
I think the Roti (similar to thin pan cake) used - is Muslim in origin
P.S.
In the year 1972 when I was Resident Surgeon in the General Hospital, Batticaloa, Sri Lanka, I came across 'Kothu Roti' in a Muslim shop in the heart of the town. It was a big draw - high in cholesterol as it had eggs and beef - among the locals. The outlet was identified by the infernal noise of the two hand operated metal cutters working on a heated metal plate. It has become so popular in present Sri Lanka that there is no place where you cannot get it.

Rough riding, 1920 - email from jksw.

2 ½ minutes of rough riding in a Dodge 1920.

I believe I was in  one  in the 1940s. A wedding. As a pre- teen, I got showed into the old jalopy.

Soon most other cars broke down trudging from Badulla  up steep to Welimada in slithering mud and rain.

Also rescued  up stalled new cars that trip while we podians had to kick our heels at the top till the rescue was complete.

Our driver our hero that day!
Huge engines. High clearance, not the 165mmm of today!
