Granddad, song

Dear all,
This song is catchy for any age. Don’t miss. 1971 by Clive Dunn. It took me by the hand in 1971 itself.
Now it take us by the heart.

This song is performed by Clive Dunn.

I've been sitting here all day thinking
Same old thing ten years away thinking
Now my days are gone, memories linger on
Thoughts of when I was boy

Pennyfarthings on the street riding
Motorcars were funny things, frightning
Bow and hoops and spinning tops
Annie gretzel's lollipops
Comic cuts, all different things

Grandad, grandad you're lovely
That's what we all think of you
Grandad, grandad you're lovely
That's what we all think of you
Grandad grandad

Aeroplanes tied up with string flying
Telephones and talking things sighing
A radio and phonograph, Charlie Chaplin made us laugh
Silently falling about
Familiar things I keep around, near me
Memories of my younger days, clearly
Now it's in my mind?
Everyday I find, thoughts of when I was boy

Grandad, grandad you're lovely
That's what we all think of you
Grandad, grandad you're lovely
That's what we all think of you
Grandad, grandad

Grandad, grandad

Grandad, granddad

All Kinds of Everything

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
For the quiz show hosted by Ryan Tubridy, see All Kinds of Everything (TV series).
"All Kinds of Everything" is a song written by Derry Lindsay and Jackie Smith; as performed by Dana, it won theEurovision Song Contest 1970. "All Kinds of Everything" represented a return to the ballad form from the more energetic performances which had dominated Eurovision the previous years. Dana sings about all the things which remind her of her sweetheart, with the admission at the end of every verse that "all kinds of everything remind me of you". The recording by Dana became an international hit.

Snowdrops and daffodils
Butterflies and bees
Sailboats and fishermen
Things of the sea
Wishing-wells
Wedding bells
Early morning dew
All kinds of everything remind me of you

Seagulls and aeroplanes
Things of the sky
Winds that go howlin'
Breezes that sigh
City sights
Neon lights
Grey skies or blue
All kinds of everything remind me of you

Summertime
Wintertime
Spring and autumn too
Monday
Tuesday every day
I think of you.
Dances
Romances
Things of the night
Sunshine and holidays
Postcards to write
Budding trees
Autumn leaves
A snowflake or two
All kinds of everything remind me of you.

Summertime
Wintertime
Spring and autumn too
Seasons will never change
The way that I love you.

Dances
Romances
Things of the night
Sunshine and holidays
Postcards to write
Budding trees
Autumn leaves
A snowflake or two
All kinds of everything remind me of you.
All kinds of everything remind me of you.

We Are The World Lyrics

"We Are The World" was written by Richie, Lionel / Jackson, Michael.
There comes a time when we hear a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying and it's time to lend a hand
To life the greatest gift of all.
We can't go on pretending day by day
That someone, somewhere will soon make a change
We are all part of God's great big family
And the truth, you know, love is all we need
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day so let's start giving
There's a choice we're making, we're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day just you and me
Well, send them your heart so they'll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us by turning stones to bread
And so we all must lend a helping hand
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day so let's start giving
There's a choice we're making, we're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day just you and me
When you're down and out, there seems no hope at all
But if you just believe, there's no way we can fall
Well, well, well, well let us realize that a change can only come
When we stand together as one
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day so let's start giving
There's a choice we're making, we're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day just you and me
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day so let's start giving
There's a choice we're making, we're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day just you and me
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day so let's start giving
There's a choice we're making, we're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day just you and me
...
There comes a time when we heed a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying and it's time to lend a hand

The end of the world - Song and Lyrics.

"The End of the World" was written by Arthur Kent and Sylvia Dee; the latter drew on her sorrow from her father's death.
Davis recorded her version on June 8, 1962 at the RCA Studios in Nashville, produced by Chet Atkins, and featuring Floyd Cramer.[1] Released by RCA Records in December 1962, "The End of the World" peaked in March 1963 at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, No. 2 on the Billboard country singles,[2] No. 1 on Billboard's easy listening, and No. 4 on Billboard's rhythm and blues.[3] It is the first, and, to date, only time that a song cracked the Top 10 on all four Billboard charts.[citation needed] Billboard ranked the record as the No. 3 song of 1963.[4]
In the Skeeter Davis version, After she sings the whole song through in the key of B-Flat, The song goes up by a half step to the key of B, where Skeeter speaks the fist two lines of the final stanza, before singing the rest of the stanza, ending the song.
Davis's recording of "The End of the World" was played at Atkins's funeral in an instrumental by Marty Stuart, and at Davis's own funeral at theRyman Auditorium.

The End Of The World Lyrics

Why does the sun go on shining?
Why does the sea rush to shore?
Don't they know it's the end of the world
'Cause you don't love me anymore?
Why do the birds go on singing?
Why do the stars glow above?
Don't they know it's the end of the world
It ended when I lost your love
I wake up in the morning and I wonder
Why everything is the same as it was
I can't understand, no, I can't understand
How life goes on the way it does
Why does my heart go on beating?
Why do these eyes of mine cry?
Don't they know it's the end of the world?
It ended when you said goodbye
Don't they know it's the end of the world?
It ended when you said goodbye.

The Little Drummer Boy - A Christmas favourite

The little drummer boy – Sung by Charlotte Church

Click on the web-link at the bottom and sing along with the words in red. You can copy and paste the words onto a Word File and then sing along.

This is the story of a poor boy who wanted to impress a visiting King by giving all he had. The last to perform, dressed in rags, with lack of support, he played his drums letting his soul and spirit create the symphony. The animals heard it, stopped and then honored him with their wagging tails. The people remained hushed and humbled, and the King bowed deeply when the boy finished his performance. The boy was summoned by thje King & was allowed to enter the palace of the King.
