emails from Karals and Buddy.
I would like to make a presentation at the clinical meeting entitled
"The applied anatomy and biomechanics of Muralidharan's bowling arm."
I would need a microphone, amplifier, loudspeaker and a CD PLAYER which could be attached to the amplifier.
Here is my abstract -
In 1995 Umpire Darrel Hair no-balled Muralidharan 6 times for throwing during the Boxing Day Test Match between Sri Lanka and Australia. A Sri Lankan born surgeon who witnessed this event and who was from the 1960 batch was called upon to medically examine Muralidharan's right arm and the legality of his bowling action as he was a medico-legal examiner for the Victorian Workcover Board.
Today's presentation is a description of the biomechanics of the bowling action and the reasons for the optical illusion resulting in the "No Ball" call.

P.S
I am doing this because I am being pestered by Karals.
Hey Karals,
As you are now a world famous figure, I hope you would be producing something really poisonous at the clinical meeting.

Hi Buddy
I am sure operative surgery would be welcome.
Remember how we used to gloat over the old, outdated[sometimes]editions.
When I go back, look at the procedures,,
And the newer modifications,
Many approaches are not that different, mostly improvised,
And looking at the older methods, procedures,
Could make the next generations think of other modifications,
Different approaches,
To make any procedure better, cost efficient, and geared towards recovery or longer palliative treatment, reduce [pain, patient discomfort,
Just like what we were taught
What we learned
And the much greater innovation by our generation,
Who did the near impossible,
Especially in the many centers around the world.
Hope we get more chances to teach the next generations,
,hopefully expecting them to improve, be more creative.
We just proved we were as effective, and in some cases better than what we thought, at what we did.
The books would help.
But they need more assistance.
Our groups, including all who left, stayed in Sri lanka,
Starting in 1965 onwards, can pass on, the wealth of experience,
As never before attempted or achieved in sri lanka.
Many are doing just that,
This is an attempt to do more.
All beliefs, all philosophies, all teachings,
Emphasize the significance of taking care of the ill, the sick, the needy.
The origin of Thera Peutics,
From the Sanskrit Thera Putta.
Regards
And love to all
