In the early 1960s when we were medical students at the Medical Faculty, Kynsey road, Colombo, Ceylon, Dr. Jansz lecturer in Physiology told us that 'the maximum number of accidents happen in the bed-room'. He was referring to unexpected pregnancies, in the days before the advent of 'the pill'.
