My daughter
Queenie, who is a Consultant Anaesthetist, at the Base Hospital, Avissawella,
Sri Lanka says that there was an urgent need, for a ready reference book of this
nature, in the Primary care and Intensive care units. This was because of the
present habit of doctors, prescribing a plethora of drugs, especially for the
elderly. I endorse this view.
