In the early 1950s, a teacher of mine living in Point-Pedro, Sri Lanka had cataract. He went to a 'native physician' - herbalist, who came of a line who specialized in eye diseases for generations. My teacher claimed that his sight improved. Now I wonder whether there was something in the tale.
