Song of the Sun God, book review

Dear Friends ,

Song of the Sun God by Shankari Chandran

Some of you may have watched on  You tube  the interview Shankari gave to a local TV when her book was released in Colombo in December 20016.Thank you all for your very encouraging comments which I have conveyed to her. She appreciates this, particularly as a debutante author and is very much encouraged by it.

The novel captures our history through the lives of a semi fictional family. When reading this book, the older generation will relive their past and even recognise some of the characters. The younger generation will have a good idea of their heritage and  the trials and tribulations they managed to escape from.

As a  publisher is involved there is delay in the book reaching the local book stores. The book is not going to be available in the bookshops here in the near future. While we are trying to get down some copies, direct purchase from the publisher is possible as given below.  I understand this will also help to register the book in cyberspace, facilitating the  attention of Amazon.

So, if you are keen to read and support the author, you may consider ordering from the publisher.

I apologise for not addressing  this mail personally  to you as the list of names is long!
