Fire At
Kosgama Army Camp Causes Havoc, Is CBK To Be Blamed? - http://anynews.lk/s/cqpt
PS
We heard the explosions, saw the flames lighting up the evening sky, and smelt the burning ammunition, around 6pm.My daughter Queenie, Consultant Anaesthetist at the Base Hospital, Avissawella, reported for work and sent us away. We left our home in Honiton Place, Avissawella and went on the road to Ratnapura past Eheliyagoda. We parked by the roadside and waited till the distant flames subsided in the distant night sky. We came back home around 10pm. Intermittent explosions were still heard, but the smoke and scent had cleared. People evacuated from a 5Km perimeter, around the camp were milling around by the roadside, in the railway station etc.
