Dear Sena,
So very sorry to have taken so long to reply to your earlier mail , sent quite some time ago. We have NOT forgotten the observations made in your letter addressed to the President and Committee of CoMSAA.
Let me, at the outset, say a very big 'THANK YOU' for all the lovely comments you made in the body of the mail. They are of course deepy appreciated.

We have discussed your letter at the last two Executive Meetings of CoMSAA and I am now in a position to outline the thinking of the Association. I will enumerate them in the same numerical order of your letter.
1. Academic Procession. No consensus was reached on this. Tradition has it that we have Academic Gowns during Scientific Meetings of some significant importance. As we have a sort of an Academic Session, one may opt to keep it.
2. Provision of a list of attendees. This would obviously be a very nice thing BUT many of the participants come in for the day
on Sunday. It would be a logistical nightmare to get all their contact details. However, we will keep it in mind and perhaps explore how we could try to do it.
3. Academic Session. We are all agreed that the main reasons for this is to try and get some sponsorship and to provide a certificate for those coming from overseas to get some tax benefits. We are not aiming to make it a state-of-the-art high powered event. In fact we are trying to make it short presentations on attractive and perhaps interesting topics. Even if the body is not willing, some enjoy presentations in topics of intrigue such as sex etc. !!!!!! We will look around and see whether we can include a couple of our alumni from overseas but this of course depends on a lot of things. The entire session would be just 2 hours.

4. Combining the Reunion with the AGM. The main problem with this is the time. The AGM will take a MINIMUM of 2 hours. Time is of the essence as we are trying hard to slot in fun and games into just a few hours as well. Many that I have spoken to are of the opinion that they come to have a good time and not to get deeply involved in administrative pursuits.

5. We have already done the list of all our activities over the last three years. Romain, our Editor is going to put it in the web site as well. There have been several donations for specific purposes. What we need is for someone from each country, say UK, USA, Australia etc, to take up the challenge of getting mor members to join and to collect some donations if possible.
6. We will look at lists of essential items. Really, from a practical point of view, what the students need are proper facilities in study areas, refurbishment of toilets etc. Although the Government is supposed to do all this, it does not happen like that. We are trying hard to take over some of the absolutely essential things.

Finally, very many thanks for the interest that you have taken. WE HAVE FIXED THE 2015 REUNION FOR
12th & 13th SEPTEMBER 2015. POlease keep that period free and do join us. WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU JOINING US.

Best and warmest of personal regards.
BJC.
