We returned to the US yesterday and thank the committee for all the hard work that had been done to make the reunion a great success.
Habarana was a peaceful and an ideal location. We carry with us fond memories of a wonderful time spent with our "extended family" including pictures and a video, and look forward to the next reunion.
Hope we could continue to keep in touch by email.
Our thanks also to all who attended the occasion, to make it a success.
Our congratulations to the committee, and to those who participated in the lectures, the concert, and numerous other ways, for a job well done!!.

Dear friends of 1960 Batch,I was terribly sorry to miss out on this Get-together which I was looking forward to so much.My husband and I were supposed to attend the celebrations.Unfortunately my husband had to suddenly undergo Cholecystectomy a week before the get-together so I deemed it wise not to travel around at this juncture.As I had'nt seen any of the batch mates other than Anula and Vijitha Nikapota and Leeda in this interim 50 years, I am sure I would'nt have recognised any of them if I had met them on the street ! So it was good to see atleast how they are now in the picture sent through email.All who managed to attend the get-together are truly lucky. I can't get over this lost opportunity to meet all those of the 1960 batch who attended this event.All of you are in my thoughts. Wish you all the best of health and happiness for the future.Hearty congratulations to all those who were involved in organising this event.

Derrick you are only 7 hrs away non stop from Frankfurt
Others are various distances away,
Still most welcome,
Its is a beautiful part of the world,
A bit of every place on earth is well represented,
Can travel thousands of miles, drive for days,with no border crossings[except some police hat as a job control the speed, but overally they are mostly good guys,have met thousands of them,in official capacity etc,
Leaft me with much admiration for the vast majority[some rotten apples at times highlights headlines,,but still the credit remains]
I was too affected by my loss, and has to do much of the work we shared,
And she helps still,with all the good memories and her devotion during these long years.
Phillip, please convey to Wedishghes, that my share th 30,000 to complete the suvenior,
Is with me[I really have cash in RS]
Or it can be sent to the account[if I fail to get someone to deliver it in Colombo or kandy[can do it via my close relatives wither Mr Harilal wickremaratna or Pol Wikka, our famous other lawyer ,in kandy.
