In 1975 the Dutch television broadcasting a music special with Kandiah Kamalesvaran better known as Kamahl. The program called "This Is .... Kamahl"  where he played his famous songs. He became a star with his song "The Elephant Song" in a television documentary
about the World Wildlife Fund.
The song was composed by the Dutch composer Hans van Hemert with the text of Gregor Frenkel Frank. It was five weeks at number 1
in the Dutch Top 40. This footage is digitized from a Philips Video Cassettte VC-30 (N1500).
